ABOUT
House SGV

MISSION & HISTORY

In 2025, the San Gabriel Regional Housing Trust (SGVRHT) achieved a significant milestone from its 2021 Strategic Plan by forming the nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, HouseSGV. House SGV aims to mobilize philanthropic, governmental, and community resources to expand affordable housing, promote social equity, and strengthen community resilience across the San Gabriel Valley.

House SGV purchases land to separate the cost of land from the cost of affordable housing development. Additional activities for the nonprofit will include partnering with service providers to support a wide variety of activities relating to homelessness, including workforce development and food inequality.

VALUES

House SGV was founded on the values of collaboration, inclusivity, effectiveness, and integrity.

Collaboration - We work closely with donors, funders, developers, advocates, and community leaders to address critical housing needs, ensuring preservation of housing stock, funding innovative housing with resident appeal, and offering programs that support healthy communities.

Inclusivity - Our activities seek to maximize value for all residents of the San Gabriel Valley by creating affordable, high-quality, inclusive places to live and thrive.

Effectiveness - Our works deliver measurable value and outcomes as stewards of our donor and funder resources.

Integrity - We perform our work with transparency and ethics in service to the interests of the San Gabriel Valley.
